Chris Laney is the Director of Education & Community Investment for CareerSource Suncoast where he develops opportunities for education and business to collaborate on how we can increase the talent pipeline in the region. In his role, he manages the State of Jobs Conference, a 1,500 student conference for high school and college students to learn about key leadership development traits, career exploration, and college preparation. He oversees the State of Talent Conference, our employer conference for more than 200 human resources and business leaders to learn how to better recruit, train, and retain talent while also having long-term strategy conversations around talent development. Lastly, he developed the Career Academy, a 3-week student experience on personal and professional development in the student's interested career.
