Career Spark is a program created to assist TANF participants in obtaining their GED and a Microsoft Word/Customer Service Certification. Florida State College of Jacksonville Adult Education and Workforce and Economic Development Departments collaborated with Career Source to create a 30- hour per week accelerated program. This program was designed to prepare TANF participants to take the GED , gain the soft skills and transferable skills necessary to get employment and /or continue with higher education while meeting the TANF participation requirements.
