Ever wonder what state monitors look for and how you can prevent and correct program deficiencies? Well, this is the training for you! Two members of the DEO monitoring team will lead structured discussions on each of the major workforce programs (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Wagner-Peyser, Welfare Transition, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and allow for one-on-one interaction time between state and local monitoring staff. This is a great opportunity for LWDB staff to interact and learn from state monitors and discuss best practices for avoiding compliance issues during the monitoring reviews. During the presentation, common findings, why they are repeated, and what you can do to avoid common mistakes will be discussed.
