This workshop is a follow-up to Ask the Experts; Complaint Resolution: It's Everyone's Job (Part I). Ask the Experts: Employment Law 101 (Part 2) will provide more in-depth information regarding Employment-related Laws to ensure local staff are in a better position to understand violations when they occur, and to aide local business services staff with reviewing job orders for compliance. A panel of guest speakers from the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the U. S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, and the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (IER) will address employment laws as they pertain to job seekers. Attendees will also learn how each of the panelist and their federal agencies address violations of Employment-related Laws.
